Application


Application for admission to the 2nd cycle postgraduare programme in Modern Greek Philology is submitted to the Secretary of the School of Philology of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki along with required documents as stated below:

1. Application of candidate stating

  • Title of Postgraduate Programme to which she/he applies, compulsory foreign language in which she/he wishes to be examined according to what is defined in subsection b) of paragraph 5 of the present article.
  • Extra foreign language(s) in which she/he wishes to be examined according to what is defined in subsection b) of paragraph 5 of the present article.

2. Brief CV of the candidate.

3. Application for candidacy to which the applicant appends a copy of the candidate’s first cycle Degree and, if obtained from a Foreign Higher Education Institution, academic recognition from the HELLENIC NARIC (D.O.A.T.A.P.) or pending the academic recognition a confirmation that an application has been submitted to the HELLENIC NARIC, with the obligation to present recognition in time once completed.

Students who have not yet received their BA Degree can also apply by submitting certification that no later than the first day of admission exams they will have provided at least graduate transcript of their 1st cycle studies from their School’s Secretary showing they have been successfully examined even in the last course required to receive their degree.

4. Diploma Supplement or detailed report (analytical scoring / performance assessment) recording credit units (ECTS) of each course of their 1st cycle studies.

5. Evidence of research or/and writing activity.
